Deeper Well~Dweller #30

Alex, Sovereignty~Reclaimer

"There was a moment that I remember becoming aware that it [my internal guidance system] wasn't on... I was pretty depressed about six years into building my company; in my mid-20s. I was having dinner with a mentor [and it] led up to one question: 'What do you love?' It was very straightforward. What do you love? And I sat there for two or three minutes. And I just couldn't answer...that's when I realized I was in trouble... I realized some pretty fundamental things in that moment. One was, our authentic self is a practice...we have to practice every day. Because if we don't, we forget...we can actually forget what we love, and why we love it." & "...your life is...the most intimate form of art that you can create. How you live your life is one of the most intimate artworks you will have the ability to create. My question [for everyone listening] is, with that lens, with that canvas, what are we going to paint? What are we going to create? And someone once said to me: 'if you want a good life, you never negotiate with beauty.' Never negotiate with beauty."
