"It's what I live for as a teacher: that moment of a-ha. When their [students'] eyes light up and they say 'I've never thought of that before.' Sometimes people in their 50s, 60s, 70s; who say 'I never asked myself that question before. I've been so identified with a particular version of myself that I've never been able to see myself in a new light.' That is a thrill [for me], their first step to self realization, to liberation... At the end of the day it's how do we live as free beings without being trapped, imprisoned or victimized by our stories."
