be a bearer & kindler of light

The light each of us can generate

is far greater than most of us realize.

Being of Light

Be a man,

a woman,

a child,

of light.

A bearer of light.

A kindler and keeper

of light, that beacons

in all directions;

sweeps over dark seas,

stony shores,

the faces of vessels,

of sailors, of known

and unknown voyagers.

a thought

We need to tend our own light,

so it stays strong, clear, well-lit.

Our heart light. Soul light.

At the same time, we can't forget

or neglect to send it out.

a QUESTION

In the dark, bewildering times and places people are trying to navigate, without foundering on the rocks. People you may know, and others in the world that you don't. And there are many. What beam can you put forth to help any of them? Who is or was such a welcome beam in your life, on your life journey?

to light my way."

a call to experience

Glean more awarely into any small or larger beaconing you can do. Close in or farther away. From a kind word and a smile that lights up someone's day. To helping guide or mentor a rudderless young person eager to create a meaningful life. Or, if it's you in search of a guiding light, you might seek out a true elder to gain some wisdom from their life experience.
